Riding Lessons
The SRA (Super Riders Academy)’s sole purpose is to initiate and educate all those interested into the sport of horse riding regardless of age.
Our students are as young as 8 years old.
As mentioned in our introduction, where we analyse our values and the unique operation of our Academy, we are capable of training entirely novice riders as well as advanced athletes who can participate in riding competitions with the provision of our horses.
Training sessions and riding lessons are available from Tuesday to Sunday.
Operating hours are from 9 AM to 1PM for morning sessions, and from 4PM to 8PM for afternoon sessions. Operating hours during the summer months are modified and change mostly for the afternoon sessions from 6PM to 9PM.
Beginners’ lessons, which are lunge lessons for the initial stages of riding (about 4-6 lessons) last 40 minutes while the most advanced lessons last for about 50-55 minutes.
Those interested can choose one of the following options:
- Pay directly to the administrative office for each lesson.
- Purchase a 5-lesson package which must be completed within a 2-month period.
- Purchase a 10-lesson package which must be completed within a 3-month period.
- Lease a horse suitable for their level, skills, and goals. The horse will belong to the academy and will be provided to a maximum of two riders.
There will be 3 basic theoretical lessons, each of which will be taught per 20 practical lessons of riding.
That is, for every two 10-lesson packages, one additional theory lesson from the following will be taught:
- A lesson in fall safety, where we learn some ground rules about how to protect our most vital points during the unfortunate moment of a fall.
- A lesson in equine care, where we learn how and why we should treat our horse with knowledge and especially safety.
- A purely theoretical lesson where we analyse all the “aids” and “commands” given to the horse, with the purpose of learning the art of riding as best as we can.
Important Details
Most beginner lessons, if not 100% of them, are on a strictly individual basis, but even those of our most advanced members are still in very small and completely controlled groups, to provide the best training and highest safety possible.
All lessons WITHOUT EXCEPTION are taught under the supervision of our instructors and under the high-level and ever-present supervision of the head of the instructors’ team Mr. Dimitris Drakakis.
A hard hat (riding helmet) is compulsory, and the academy provides it to the students until they wish to buy their own.
The lessons are booked by the Academy’s administrative office on the following number+30) 6996 100 600. For further information or clarification, in addition to the online media mentioned on our site, there can be direct communication with Mr. Dimitris Drakakis on the following number+30) 6932 468 400.
